Initially, Formas de Pedra, alongside extraction, through product design, focused on creating new uses for marble, such as the production of objects for the table and for the home. It also developed a study for a new coating – Veinstone – which introduces low relief following the natural pattern of the raw material. Today, its mission is to add value and circularity, in a differentiated and innovative way, to this excellent, unique and metamorphic raw material. We have created a new purpose Marble is respected and valued as an opportunity for creation, in transformation. We rescue raw material for the production of innovative projects in the areas of design, visual arts and architecture. Formas de Pedra designs, produces and develops its own equipment projects and new products. We believe that it is urgent to properly manage mineral resources, reassess business models and introduce circular design for products and the use of natural materials. Formas de Pedra has created Smarble, a new product. Our mission is to add value and introduce circularity, maximizing the use of raw materials in the value chain. With Smarble, we reintegrate raw materials into the value chain. In the transformation process, we reduce energy and water costs and sludge production.
